Trip to National Science Centre

Last Thursday on the 22nd of March 2007, there’s a trip to the ‘Pusat Sains Negara’ with the children from the Juara Home organized by LEO club of Assunta. It was a very fun and memorable day. The children that went with us were all friendly and cute.

We waited for the bus to arrive. While waiting, we were very excited and eager to meet the children. Finally the bus arrives and off we go. We went to the Juara Home first to pick up the children. Joo Ann and I adopted a gal that so coincidentally sat with me. Her name is Michelle. She is 15 this year, her date of birth is 19 March which is the same birthday as me.

During the journey, we chat wit her and get to know more about her. She told us that the she was the second eldest in the home. It took about 30-40 minutes to reach there. When we finally reach, we had to take a child a take care of him/her. Joo Ann picked Michelle and there was suppose to be 2 LEOs taking care of a child, so I also helped Joo Ann to take care of her.

The first thing we did when we went in was that we were suppose to put our water bottles outside as it wasn’t allowed inside. The first place we went was through a small underwater tank. We saw many fishes there and a lot of beautiful want too. Then we went through a jungle n saw many different types of animals there(fake of course). After that we went to get more knowledge about space. It was quite fun in there seeing all the techno stuff. We even saw lots of thing that we’ve never seen before. Its as though we just came out of the jungle.

The place was amazing but the sad part is most of the things doesn’t seem to function. Some things are either spoilt, not functioning or under construction. At that place we were so noisy that Puan Jasminder said that the Juara Home kids behave better than us. It was 5 and all of us had to go back. Before we went back to the school, we went to the souvenir shop to buy some stuff. Joo Ann bought a key chain for Michelle. When the bus came and it was drizzling, we let the Juara Home kids go first. We went in the bus and there was food given out as a lot of us were quite hungry. In the bus, we chit chat until we reach our destination. We send the children back first then at last it was our turn to go back.
