Renewed by His Spirits / Grypday

That was the camp theme. It was such a great camp! Before I went for the camp, I was quite dry and down in the spirit. The preaching by Ps Lawrence Khoo kinda helped me to renew my spirit. Especially on the second night. His sermon is about boredom.

Boredom is the sickeness of the soul.

Why do we struggle with boredom??
1. We lost our purpose of living

2. Lost our intimacy with God

How do we deal with boredom?
1. The practical way
- Be child-like
- Laugh more
- Be curious!

2. The spiritual way
- Go back to God and His purpose for us

You must be wondering what has this got to do with me getting renewed. Well, it has help me to go through in life. Honestly speaking, I sometimes find the preaching too dry and boring. That is a sign of boredom. Its as though we do the same routine again and again that we get bored of it and stop doing it.

And through his message, I learned that although life may get boring, but we should continue to make Christ the centre of our life. Without Him, we will get bored easily! But with Him being the centre of our life, our life will never be boring!

Just something I learned from today's preaching, we should be united! We should not only be united in our cliques but as a church. And yes John, lots of things are happening. Not only in the youth but as well as in the main service! Guess we should lend a hand to you to keep you dessertsnu!
